A prototype of a Sharpie for the iPad

I was thinking about how nice it would be if Sharpie made a conductive stylus for the iPad, so I decided to prototype one. I used a re-fillable stainless steel Sharpie, pulled out the tip, cut open the refill housing and hollowed out the top with a drill bit. Inside is a Pogo Sketch stylus, fully intact. It works pretty well but, as it turns out, the tip of the refill is what holds the cap in place, so I can no longer cap the pen (stylus). I’ve also discovered that the large form factor of the pen makes me want to rest my palm on the screen which can result in some unintended drawing.
